Bobbie woke up in the middle of the night, and she felt a peace that she had never felt before. “Was is this feeling?” she thought to herself. As she look up at the ceiling, she saw a royal blue, flickering light. It was almost like a candlelight, but more intense. The longer she stared at it, the closer it came, and the brighter the light became. “It can’t be…impossible” she thought for a second. “Wait, maybe it is…” Bobbie recalled reading a chapter from “Conversations with God” by Neale Donald Walsch…it was about the soul…a blue, flickering light that danced around and became more intense the longer you stared at it. The more you desired to become one with it…the closer it came to you.
Bobbie was very skeptical like usual, but she couldn’t help but to follow her intuition. She even closed her eyes several times to make the light go away…but it didn’t. It was beautiful and facinating, and it provided a sense of peace like no other. Clarity surround the atmosphere…everything made sense…everyone seemed lovable…life became amazing…God was present. “This is what freedom feels like” Bobbie thought. To become one with the soul is to be free from everything…yet, become ONE with everything. It was a dual dichotomy. Neale Donald Walsch explains the Divine Dichotomy: “The only way to be a thing may be, at first, to not be it. Often the only way to know yourself as That Which You Are is to experience yourself as That Which You Are Not.”
On multiple occasions, Bobbie tried to connect with her soul, but she didn’t see the blue, flickering light that had so intensley touched her heart. Deep down, she didn’t believe; therefore, she didn’t see. Believing comes before seeing…not the other way around. The days she believes…she sees…she feels…she experiences freedom once again. The feeling is priceless, but the heart must be full of unconditional love at the moment, as well as faith.
