It tickles me that yesterday, I was drawn to a video where the creator was overly positive—and not embracing of negative emotions—which inspired me to use the comment I shared with him to create the post, “Embracing, Integrating, and Deeply Healing Shadow Aspect of Self That’s Depressed.”
And today, I was drawn to a video below, where the creator basically talked about the integration of the positive and negative, and brought up some great points, but seemed to lean more towards the negative at certain points, which then reminded me of a recent, former, coworker who was overly negative.
It’s great to be very positive, like experiencing sheer joy, looking forward to something with much excitement, feeling gratitude and deep appreciation for various forms of tangible and intangible abundance, fully enjoying Life in its plethora of form and non-form, trusting in our Multidimensional self (earthly and otherworldly physical selves)/Self (Source: Soul/Spirit within), etc..
But it’s also loving and wise to be cognizant of anything or anyone in the surrounding area that could benefit from the sharing of any form of love (e.g., compassion, assistance, encouragement, upliftment, empowerment, inspiration, etc.)
As shared in the post/link mentioned above, it’s also perfectly okay to feel depressed–or angry, enraged, apathetic, and other negative emotions—because though these energy states can appear as so-called “enemies,” they can actually lead us to profound wisdom, so long as we don’t become completely lost within them.

By embracing and integrating both the overly positive and overly negative aspects that exists within self/interconnected others, I trust that we no longer need to be lost within either extremes, but rather, clearly see the benefits of each aspect—which has its Divine purpose—without allowing them to take over the ship (i.e. the whole self/Self) in an out of control manner.

I shared the following comment for the video, “The Next Step In The Game (The Secondary Enlightenment) – Teal Swan –” (the paragraph about the recent, former coworker is a new insight related to post, “Negative Shadow Aspects of Self that Seem Damn Near Impossible to Accept“):
Thank you Teal for some helpful info within this video. I highly resonate with practically all of your videos that I’ve watched so far, but this one’s a bit fuzzy in certain areas, and I noticed that I’m not the only one confused. It would be highly appreciated if you could provide some clarification in a new video.
For instance, if we’re working on unconditionally loving and integrating more and more aspects of ourselves—within the duality of good and bad, right and wrong, light and dark, etc.—but yet, more negativity shows up in our outer reality, that can not only be confusing, but also very discouraging and eventually hopeless, since outer world apparently mirrors inner world. But what about the times when one feels very peaceful and happy alone and/or within nature, or with a few people, but not so much within certain cities where there seems to be a lot of mostly negative people?
I agree that it can be dangerous to only be and live in a bubble of positive focus to the point where one does not have any compassion towards the suffering of others within one’s reality. For instance, someone who is only willing to focus on the positive can ignore someone being bullied nearby, or ignore a crying child who lost his mother in a crowded street.
But we must also NOT confuse this compassion with going into obsessive rescue mode, where we believe we must go out of our way to 1) continually focus on the sufferings of this world 2) never fully be happy, since there are always others who are suffering in this world, 3) actively search for those who suffer (by often focusing on the negative), 4) try and help those who have no desire to help themselves, and 5) overly help others to the point where we a) don’t have healthy boundaries (hence, others use or abuse us), and/or b) become a permanent crutch for others; hence, disempowering them.
For example: I experienced working with a coworker who was habitually very negative, and another who was very kind and overall positive (extreme contrast showing up).
Every attempt to genuinely connect with this negative coworker, communicate from the heart, and work harmoniously together was shot down to the point where I just let it go.
I’ve worked with some difficult people within three decades of my life (especially in the Army), but this coworker was basically impossible to meet even a fraction of a way (let alone half-way).
I ended up resigning, and I felt a huge load off my back. So when it comes to compassion, it goes both ways, and not just for others. That work environment, despite one nice coworker, was very unhealthy.
When I expand my perspective, I realize that the aspect within me—that showed up as my very negative coworker—was communicating to me that it was not happy with 9 to 5 jobs PERIOD, especially those that are somewhat corrupt.
Regarding your story about the waterfall, I highly resonate with the truth that an expanded consciousness is inclusive rather than exclusive.
So if there was a third party who was able to enjoy the beauty of the waterfall, but, yet, also have compassion for the dead dog—without being lost in either realities, but rather, Being neutral—I trust that would be a state of pure compassion, where the third party doesn’t have any judgment towards both realities because s/he deeply understands that both are valid.
I also shared some key points within the following comments below that I was able to relate to.

but as usual here is a contradiction in teaching , in this video you are saying that we attract the opposite and in the law of attraction you attract similar , you guys are making us crazy

Again, a video providing clarification would help:

[…] I think I understand what you’re saying.. those who are using positive thought to the point of ignoring other realities is not ‘good’.. but I think those ppl aren’t in a true positive state, the positive vibration is integrating and by definition, is not separating nor creates these isolating dynamics you mentioned […]
Also, the universal law states that what you put in, is what you get back.. you seem to be saying the opposite… sure, your higher self may reflect things to you that require reflection and integration, but I don’t think that the more you contemplate positive things or the more you have a positive perspective, the more negativity you will experience or perceive.. that’s nonsensical. lastly, I think that if you come to this world and improve yourself, you have automatically improved the world, bc as you said, you are the universe, but the universe is also you.
