Today, I noticed someone had left an actual comment (rather than spam) for the post, “Reminder for All of Us (Especially Spiritual Teachers): Unconditional Love is for Self AND Interconnected Others“; and her question, along with my reply, turned out to be a perfect part 1 review for the “Unlimited Abundance Course” by Christie Marie Sheldon.
Comment from reader, Taisiakat:
I stumbled onto your website/blog and have been enthralled with your posts (came here because of your post on Padre.)
I have spent this afternoon going through several different posts and I too understand the need to be vigilant in what I read and understand, and have help from my guides, higher self, spirit/soul to navigate through these spaces.
Unconditional love is an opportunity/challenge for me, since I slip and fall a lot along this path of mine.
Thank you for sharing and I am curious to what you think of Christie’s work if you do take the class. I found the introduction webinar – to be both staged but helpful.
And I did find some serious blocks and some very bizarre thoughts on wealth and abundance.
My reply comment:
Hi Taisiakat, 🙂
What an intriguing name, I’ve never seen or heard of it before. If you don’t mind me asking, where are you from?
Thank you for sharing your kind comment. I’m glad that you’re also in the habit of following your inner guidance first and foremost. I haven’t mastered it, but I trust I’m getting better at it.
Unconditional love—for ALL neutral aspects of self and others—is an opportunity and challenge for me as well, and I have no doubt for MANY with humanity. Like you, I’ve slipped and fell A LOT on my journey, but I’ve been able to bounce back each time (sometimes much slower than others), which I trust you have the ability to do just as well, if not better. I also have no doubt that your awareness and willingness to make beneficial changes for yourself and your life makes a HUGE difference.
Regarding Christie’s course, “Unlimited Abundance,” I agree with you that the intro webinar seemed both staged and helpful. I’ve also sensed mixed messages and feeling vibrations from Christie and Vishen (and even Neale Donald Walsch).
For instance, Christie suggests not to drink alcohol (which is even in the workbook), but yet, within one lesson, she shared a story of her going to her local wine bar. She also states (often) that 1) we are all Source energy within a physical body, and 2) she has the ability to see others’ issues within their energy fields, but yet, within one lesson, she stated that she’s not God, so she’s not able to help this certain individual with whatever issues they may have.
They all seem to have their authentic moments that actually FEEL sincere, and then there are other moments that either lacks, or has an absence of, any positive feeling sensations (i.e., NOT heartfelt, moving, inspiring, etc., but more strongly driven by back to back sales).
Granted, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with doing one’s best to sell one’s creative products, but if the approach and habitual ways of business comes off more salesy/pushy—rather than from the pure intentions of the integrated Mind/Heart—then it can prevent first-time clients (like me) from becoming loyal, returning or permanent clients.
So far, I have some mixed thoughts and feelings about this course. I’ve noticed that there are definitely some highly beneficial and deeply healing information, but I also noticed that I’m not really FEELING soul-igniting, deeply heartfelt higher vibrations like inner-peace, joy, profound wisdom, freedom, and unconditional love while listening to the pre-recorded messages that include a lot of repetitive statements (and understandably so since she’s clearing the old and outdated that no longer benefits).
I find myself not exactly jumping for joy when it comes to listening to the next lesson because it often feels boring and redundant, but I’m giving this course a shot due to my 1) curiosity and 2) desire to release what’s no longer serving me so that I can Be a more free-spirited, wise, peaceful, empowered, inspired, abundant, whole, full-potential, Multidimensional self/Self. I’ve also learned that clearing non-beneficial subconscious beliefs has been challenging on my own, so we’ll see what gifts are in store for me after testing these waters.
I, too, found blocks that I wasn’t aware of before, so despite the seemingly boring and painful moments within the lessons, it might be worth it to explore the unknown territory.
By the way, in case you’re not taking the course yet, after they ask you a series of questions, they create a lesson plan for you. However, some of the questions they ask (that I wasn’t able to really relate to) don’t exactly give you the opportunity to provide the most accurate answer.
Therefore, even though I started going with that plan (for the first two lessons or so), I chose to follow my inner guidance. Now, I choose whatever lesson plan (with the 24) that I would like to learn about next, and I thank Spirit within ahead of time for the guidance, assistance, support, discernment, inner-wisdom, clarity and unconditional love.
I’m developing the habit of fully trusting my feelings (the language of our soul), so when I experience even the slightest degree of excitement for a particular lesson (or anything else really)—basically following the breadcrumbs of joy to the best of my ability—I click on that lesson.
If the cons of this course start to outweigh the pros, I will simply discontinue with the lessons. I was planning on creating and sharing a post about the results in the future, and thanks to you, it seems that I’ve already created half of it (which I will copy and paste at a later time into the new post, after I experience the results). [UPDATE: Turned our comments into post, “Review (Part I) for: Unlimited Abundance Course by Christie Marie Sheldon”]
I am curious, what are some of the very bizarre thoughts on wealth and abundance that you found?
By the way, I’ve also checked out your website, and I highly respect and admire you choosing to be authentic, unconventional, and highly creative, as well as fully embracing your unique, website name. My husband and I have two cats—Shadow and Leo—so of course I’m going to adore the “kitty” part. 😉
