It’s the first day of kindergarten in the middle of winter. Bobbie’s all bundled up in a coat and had her mouth covered as well. It’s recess, and Bobbie goes out to play. About five kids surround her and start saying things like, “I can’t see her eyes!”ย repeatedly. At this stage in life, Bobbie doesn’t understand that the kids are unintentionally saying hurtful things. She just curiously stares at them as if a human being was staring at some aliens.
