1991: Bobbie met Stan, her step-father, on a weekly basis since he no longer lived with her and her mother. They were in his car when he said to her, “You know what we should do? We should make posters and stick them all over the post barracks area!” “What kind of posters?” Bobbie asked. “The ones that state ‘great maid service provided if needed’…since your mom’s a hard worker.” Bobbie thought he was being really mean, but later understood that his hateful comment stemmed from something much deeper…his hurt from Bobbie’s mother.
